I paid 3.10 Eur for coffee and this huge slice of pie. You can also eat smth - soup, salad.

After participating in the human rights conference, where Garry Kasparov (no need to introduce) gave a speech on human rights and situation in Belorussia and Russia, the very same evening I ended up downloading chess application to play before falling asleep.

EATING OUT - Recommendations From Locals

- Kokob: éthiopian
- Petit Palais: belgian (le vol-au-vent/bouchée à la reine est canon)
- IIème Elément: viet/thai
- La Bruschetta: italien, plats de pâtes super originaux
- Houtsiplou: belgian, nice decoration- De Valeras: irish bar, best hamburgers in town
- Ars Vinums : tratoria cosy very nice and delicious

- le corbeau (food is not the most amazing, but from 12pm onward people start dancing on the table, it is  crazy apparently)

- restobière: belgian food

Lietingą (net nekeista) sekmadienio rytą, nusprendžiau apžiūrėti turistams nelabai žinomą apsipirkimų vietelę Rue de Liedekerke gatvėje. Kaip patogu, kad ji tik už kelių kvartalų nuo mano namų.

Special thanks go to Rik, kuris ir pasiūlė apžiūrėti šią vietą: ,,In Brussels you find everything.”

Šios parduotuvės gatvėje reikia gerai paieškoti - nėra matomos iškabos. Jei visai prarastumėt viltį, reikia klausti ,,Garage”. Keturių aukštų parduotuvė - akivaizdžiai įrengta buvusio sandėlio patalpose, uždaroma nuleidžiamais garažo vartais, matyt iš čia ir kilo neoficialus pavadinimas.
Įspėjimas - visi pirkėjai išeina su dideliais maišais jiems reikiamų ir galbūt nelabai riekiamų daiktų, nes kainos ten tikrai vilioja. Aš, savo laimei, parduotuvę apžiūrinėjau neturėdama grynųjų :)

Foto: Parduotuvės fasadas, vyras juodais drabužiais - apsauginis, labai įtariai tyrinėjantis įeinančius ir išeinančius.
Kaip aiškino Rik, į parduotuvę suvežami likučiai iš visų Briuselio parduotuvių, galima rasti visko - nuo no name iki Miss Sixty, Mango, Mexx ir pan.

Info: veikia ir sekmadieniais (iki 17 val.), atsiskaitymas grynais ir vietinio banko kortele.

Briuselio maratonas / Brussels Marathon

Žinojau, kad Briusely vyks didžiausia miesto sporto šventė - miesto maratonas. Išlindau į miestą - ir iškart susidūriau su trasa, kurią pasekiau iki finišo pagrindinėje miesto aikštėje.

Kol kas pasakysiu tik tiek - kitais metais norėčiau išmeginti pusmaratonį šia trasa.
